Farmcottage The Barnhouse

Book a relaxing stay surrounded by greenery in the beautifully converted former stable of our farmhouse. Stay for a long weekend, a summer holiday or a longer visit.

The Barnhouse is also available for meetings and TV, film and commercial shoots.

The bright and spacious cottage (approx. 100 m²) has a living and dining area of around 60 m², a sleeping loft of around 30 m² and a spacious bathroom on the ground floor. It also has a very large private, south-facing terrace adjoining a peaceful 1,000 m² garden. Dogs are very welcome by prior arrangement.

A farmhouse from 1880

The farmhouse at Bovenberg 82 in Bergambacht has a traditional cross-passage barn: hay wagons once entered through the large doors in the side wall, and the hay was stored up in the beams. The cattle ate hay in their stalls, milk was churned on the barn floor and cheeses matured in the cheese cellar. Along the many little ditches, the cheeses went by boat to the cheese market in Gouda.

Make yourself at home in the spacious living and dining room, with its beautiful wooden beams and French doors opening onto the large garden. The cottage is approximately 100 m², with a living and dining area of around 60 m².

Sleep soundly in a comfortable box-spring bed on the spacious sleeping loft, overlooking the garden and the setting sun. The loft is approximately 30 m².
Please note: the spacious, modern bathroom is downstairs!

Practical and inviting, the modern kitchen has everything you need: a dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge and freezer. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.
